If you have a pain in the chest, sharp or aching, it is a reason to think about whether everything is in order with your health. We have compiled a list of the main causes of chest pain in the building, depending on the location of pain.

Severe chest pain

Perhaps the most frequent reason for seeking medical attention is sudden, acute chest pain. To tolerate it becomes difficult, and the patient is tormented by fears for their health. All this is no accident, because this pain in the chest can indicate very serious things, ranging from heart disease, including problems with the vessels, stomach, lungs, nervous system, and many other things that require urgent treatment. Such pain must necessarily be a reason for seeking medical attention.

Aching chest pain

Drawing pain in the chest does not often cause people to go to the doctor, because it quickly passes. And yet, it should not be ignored. First, it can also be a manifestation of a number of diseases of internal organs that require timely treatment. Secondly, a symptom may indicate an overstrain or hypothermia that led to muscle inflammation. Another point that may disturb you is intercostal neuralgia.
Finally, in women, such pain may indicate problems with the mammary glands, including mastopathy and malignant tumors. The emergence of any pain not related to pregnancy, critical days and hormonal drugs should be a reason for seeking a doctor-mammologist.

Chest pain to the left

Although many, having felt pain in the chest on the left, immediately run to the doctor, fearing the most serious heart attack or stroke, it is more often caused by other reasons, unfortunately, no less serious. These include problems with the respiratory system: this pain is usually quite severe, and lasts for a long time, while it is accompanied by problems with breathing.

Another reason: problems with the digestive tract. Heartburn, poisoning and other similar problems can also cause pain in the left side, while they are accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

Right chest pain

If the chest hurts on the right side and gives to the scapula, this may indicate a number of diseases, the most common of which are angina pectoris, osteochondrosis, intercostal neuralgia and spinal diseases. Do not rule out problems with the digestive tract and cardiovascular system.

Finally, a chest pain extending to the shoulder blade can also come from the fact that you are nervous a lot or are constantly in a stressful situation.

Whatever the symptoms, we do not recommend self-healing. Although the reason may be fairly harmless, it can also signal the presence of serious diseases that should not be missed.
